The Fallen Mighty

How high was the pedestal from where thou fell
How great was the push
O mighty one
Why hast thou not risen yet
Why dost thou remain seated in thy shame
You had beaten your chest,
you had made boast of
how terrible and fierce you are in war,
like the wind, you said,
you have blown fear across the land,
yet you fell, arise my lord
arise from thy disgrace.
Have you been so abased
Dost thou not hear the maidens mock thee.
Canst you see the children pluck at your locks
In your arrogance, you have been tutored
Pride and greatness are enemies with no hope of ever coming together.
He who must be mighty must serve in humility.
The mighty who is a servant never falls.
